This is delicious, quick, and easy-the three things I look for in a recipe.
Ingredients
1 Tbs. of oil
1 large chopped onion
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 package of Morningstar Grilled Crumbles-I think it's 12 ozs.
(You can use any brand-I just prefer Morningstar. If you hate soy-use crumbled sausage)
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 and 1/2 tsp. chile powder
1 can of diced italian-styled tomatoes ( 15 ozs.)
1/2 c. water
1 can of navy beans, drained and rinsed (15 ozs.)
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a skillet, heat oil. When it's hot, add onions and saute about six minutes-give them a stir every once in awhile. Add garlic and saute about 2 more minutes-until softened. Add crumbles and cook 2 more minutes. Add remaining ingredients, cover, then simmer until apples are tender-about 15 minutes. Then-enjoy!
